EnglishFor english I decided to write a poem called "A Letter From Your Addiction," that was to bring awareness to having an addiction to smoking cigarettes. The poem is told in figurative language which I used to form the perspective to be of the addiction. This poem talks about the feeling of being desperate for a fix and being held under restraints to the demands. I incorperated contexulization into my project by analyzing poems of addiction from the perspective of a addict.

Social StudiesFor social studies I decided to put a lot of research into the stigma and restrictions in Indonesia when it came to smoking. Indonesia is one of the worst countries when it comes to smoking as there is few restrictions and anyone can purchase smokes. For my social studies I analyzed the warnings for cigarettes in Indonesia as well as why Indonesians are so persuaded that nicotine is the cure to all illnesses. I used contextulizaion in this aspect by describing what the words I wrote in Indonesian (on my art project) mean and why I wrote it.

ArtFor my art project I decided to do a photo realism painting with studies of different shapes of teeth to represent the effect that smoking can have on the teeth. In the painting, the teeth are rotting away. Surrounding the teeth is warning signs on the effects of smoking in Indonesian. I included contextulization into this aspect of my project by studying decaying teeth and lab of teeth.
